Entering Photo Contests: What I am Learning

What I’ve come to understand from my recent experiences with photo contests is: If you’ve got photos you’re proud of, don’t hesitate to share them with the world. Submitting your images to contests or exhibitions is a great way to showcase your work and connect with others who share your passion. While winning or getting recognized is very rewarding, the real value lies in sharing your creativity and discovering where it can take you. Even if you’re unsure or nervous, remember that every submission is a step forward in your journey as a photographer. So, get out there, take the plunge, share your vision, and let your work be seen—you never know what opportunities or connections might come from it!!

Another Proud Moment

I’m still buzzing with the shock and gratitude after my “Cocoa Powder” image was shortlisted by the panel of judges in my first photo contest as a professional! Now, my image of the Hotel Germain in downtown Montreal Quebec, which I’ve titled "Color Amongst Concrete," has been picked in a competition for a “Landscapes/Seascapes/Cityscapes” contest.
